Mission Statement

The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Science is a nationwide, multidisciplinary, non-profit organization, with an open membership, passionate about connecting science to people so that science, its application and benefits become accessible to all.

  Our mission is:

•         To promote openness and enthusiasm about science in society;
•         To engage and inspire people of all ages directly with science and technology;
•         To promote science education;
•         To provide a forum for the future where the level of public understanding of science is
          increased;
•         To provide a forum where the level of scientist’s understanding of public concern is increased;

•         To organize activities that will show the benefits of scientific discoveries and innovation to
          Canadian society
